Position: Insides Sales Representative

Due to Lurn’s rapid growth, we are currently seeking to fill the new positions of Inside Sales Representative (ISR).  Our ISRs are referred to as Student Enrollment Advisors. These positions will report to our Vice President of Student Experience and are located on-site in our Rockville, Maryland office.

Role Summary / Job Purpose

The Student Enrollment Advisors play a fundamental role in achieving Lurn’s ambitious client / student acquisition and revenue growth objectives. These roles are a hybrid combining both phone sales and lead qualification responsibilities. Student Enrollment Advisors must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day aligning students with relevant programs, generating interest, and securing program payments.

Major Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop new student enrollment opportunities and create outreach strategies thru inbound lead follow-up.
  • Close sales prospects in a one-call close.
  • Follow-up within 30-45 days with those student enrollment prospects not enrolled in a one-call close via additional calls, emails, and text touch points.
  • Have a sales first mentality with a high-degree of integrity and client needs approach.
  • Understand client/student needs and requirements.
  • Qualify leads generated by marketing campaigns (website traffic, email campaigns).
  • Understand Lurn’s mission and how to tell compelling stories which offer valuable and unique perspectives.
  • Lead our prospects through a challenger sales approach that delivers value.
  • Align qualified lead opportunities to the appropriate Advisor for further development and sales completion.
  • Record and maintain the lead/opportunity data in Lurn’s CRM sales database (Close I.O.), ensuring its accuracy, currency, and completeness.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • BA / BS preferred.
  • Minimum three to five years sales experience selling high ticket products.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent listener who knows how to ask effective probing questions and has the ability to close a sale.
  • Familiarity with Close.io, Infusionsoft, or Salesforce CRM a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Must possess excellent self-confidence, a high degree of customer-orientation, and great tenacity to achieve goals.
